Paul Heyman Praises Lil Yachty For His WWE Appearances

Paul Heyman says that Lil Yachty is a “credit” to the notion of celebrity appearances in WWE, praising the rapper on social media. Lil Yachty made a number of appearances in the lead-up to WrestleMania 42, allying with Trick Williams and cornering him at the PLE as he won the WWE United States Championship from Sami Zayn.
Celebrity appearances became a big topic leading into the PLE, largely around Pat McAfee’s involvement in the Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton WWE Undisputed Championship match. Heyman posted to Twitter to praise Yachty’s respect for WWE and its culture and fanbase.
Heyman wrote:
“We are living during a moment in time where the celebrity involvement in @WWE has become quite controversial. @lilyachty’s respect for WWE, the talent – history – and culture, along with the fan base, is undeniable. He’s a credit to the concept of ‘crossover into our business.'”
Yachty also appeared on last week’s post WrestleMania episode of Smackdown.
