First Hour of WWE Backlash To Air On ESPN2

The first hour of next week’s WWE Backlash will air on ESPN2, as announced on Friday. WWE announced on Friday night’s show that the first hour of the PLE will air on the ESPN2 cable network.
The move follows last month’s WrestleMania 42, which saw its first hours air on ESPN2 for night one and ESPN for night two. The first night featured Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed battle LA Knight and The Usos. Meanwhile, night two saw Oba Femi defeat Brock Lesnar in what seemed to be Lesnar’s final match.
There’s no word as of yet on which matches will air during the first hour, and thus on ESPN2. WWE Backlash takes place from Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida on May 9th. The full show will air on ESPN Unlimited in the US and Netflix internationally.
The announced matches are:
* World Heavyweight Championship Match: Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu
* Bron Breakker vs. Seth Rollins.
* Asuka vs. IYO SKY.
