New details have emerged regarding the wrestling sequence featuring AEW stars Brian Cage and Lance Archer in Steven Spielberg’s latest science fiction film, Disclosure Day.

New details about the scene reveal that it plays a much bigger role in the film’s opening than many initially expected. Rather than appearing in a quick cameo, Brian Cage and Lance Archer are featured in the movie’s opening sequence, with the audience dropped right into the middle of their match.

The scene takes place in a packed arena that reportedly carries a Lucha Underground-style atmosphere. The action unfolds before an energetic crowd, with Spielberg using his signature visual style to capture the match’s intensity.

Another familiar wrestling name also appears in the sequence. As previously rumored, Chavo Guerrero Jr. serves as the referee for the bout between Cage and Archer.

After the opening moments of the match, the film shifts its focus to Daniel Kellner, played by Josh O’Connor, who is shown watching from the crowd. From there, the movie transitions into its main story.

Reports that Cage, Archer, and Guerrero had filmed scenes for the project first surfaced through PWInsider in April 2025. Over time, both Cage and Archer confirmed their involvement in the movie.

One interesting aspect of the appearance is that it remained largely under wraps before release. The wrestling sequence was not included in trailers or promotional material, meaning many viewers likely went into the film without knowing the AEW stars would be featured so prominently at the start.
