El Hijo Del Vikingo will undergo surgery to repair the knee injury he recently suffered, as announced on Monday. The AAA star posted to Instagram to announce that he will get surgery tomorrow for the injury that he suffered last week.

Vikingo suffered the injury before last week’s episode of WWE NXT, where he was set to defend the AAA Latin American Championship against EK Prosper. It was reported on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that the injury looked to be a more serious one.

AAA has not made an announcement about the Latin American Championship, which Vikingo won at AAA Noche de Los Grandes in late May.
