Drew McIntyre Pays Tribute to Sheamus Following His WWE Exit

As previously reported, former WWE Champion Sheamus (aka Stephen Farrelly) is exiting WWE, with his profile being moved to the alumni page on WWE’s website. Sheamus’ longtime friend, Drew McIntyre, paid tribute to his former on-air rival via social media.

McIntyre shared two earlier photos featuring him and Sheamus, including one of them facing off against each other at WrestleMania 39. In the best match of the weekend, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre competed in a Triple Threat Match against Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Title.

McIntyre only included emojis of a clover and a burger in the caption, referencing his famous line in a promo where McIntyre roasted Sheamus’ physique, saying it looked like he’d been eating “burger after burger after burger.” You can view McIntyre’s tribute to Sheamus below:
