A new report has details on WWE’s plans for Lola Vice following the former NXT Women’s Champion’s AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship loss on Saturday. As noted last night, Vice and Mr. Iguana lost their championships to La Hiedra and Laredo Kid on week one of AAA Verano de Escandalo, which aired on FOX.
According to F4W Online’s Bryan Alvarez, the belief is that Vice is receiving a call up to the main roster. Vice is likely to be put on the Smackdown brand.
Lola Vice has been part of the NXT roster since 2023, and won the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand & Deliver in April in a match against then-champion Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey. She held the championship for 85 days before losing it to Grey at NXT Great American Bash. She is set to have a rematch with Grey for the championship on the August 4th episode of WWE NXT.
Vice and Iguana’s AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship reign lasted 168 days, having started on the February 7th episode of AAA on FOX when they beat Ethan Page and La Hiedra, who was filling in for a then-injured Chelsea Green.
