AJ Styles Wonders Why Bron Breakker Isn’t Challenging For a World Championship

The topic of Bron Breakker & his push within WWE has been an active one for wrestling fans since the release of WWE Unreal last week on Netflix. We learned that Breakker had originally been in line to win the 2026 Royal Rumble, but the idea was scrapped because the idea of giving him too much too soon worried some that the fans would reject it. Breakker got injured on the Raw after the Royal Rumble and returned at WrestleMania 43. Since then, Breakker has mostly been in the tag team scene, filling in for the injured Logan Paul in his tag team with Austin Theory. He also had a feud with Seth Rollins that led to a loss in a steel cage match and Rollins moving upward to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Championship at SummerSlam.

AJ Styles has joined the chorus of folks wondering when Bron will get his chance on top of the card. He recently discussed Bron on his Phenomenally Retro Podcast, echoing a lot of sentiments expressed over the past weeks about Bron’s position on Raw.

On Bron Breakker:

“How long are we going to wait till for Bron Breakker to be heavyweight champion? He has to be next, right? I think that he’s definitely a star right now. Why we haven’t put it on him to to put the rocket up his butt and send him to the freaking moon? I don’t know why we haven’t done that because he is the destroyer. Well, he had to get a surgery done or I believe he had a hernia or something. But the fact he was out and now he’s back and he’s even scarier than before. Like let’s go.

We all know that it’s all about the chase. the baby face chasing the heel. Bron Breaker is the heel. And The Vision’s actually coming back together. They’re healing up and they’re coming back together. So, let’s see what we can do with those guys next. I’m not saying you got to split them up. That’s not what I’m saying. I’m just saying I think I’d like to see Bron as a heavyweight champion, but he’s not in a heavyweight championship match at SummerSlam.”
