Elijah Holyfield Traded to AAA

WWE Superstar Elijah Holyfield is headed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. On the August 9, 2026, episode of WWE Legends & Future Greats, Shawn Michaels informed the 28-year-old that he would soon be reuniting with his former mentor, The Undertaker, in the Mexican promotion.

HBK called the WWE LFG Season One participant a “valued prospect” and claimed that the possibilities are endless for him in AAA. The NXT head booker urged Holyfield to show the world who he truly is when he lands in AAA.

Here’s what Shawn Michaels told Elijah Holyfield:

“I think, coming in the door, you were a very valued prospect to us. I’m sure, maybe from your perspective, it has been a while. Maybe you’ve had some setbacks with the injury, but an opportunity has arisen for us to get you into the game. You are going to have the opportunity to go down to AAA and show the world who Elijah Holyfield truly is.

“You’ll be meeting up with your old trainer, The Undertaker. The possibilities down there are going to be unlimited for you. Congratulations, and thank you very much for always giving it your best.”

Holyfield signed with WWE in November 2024 and participated in the first season of LFG. The 28-year-old worked his maiden NXT live event match this past February and made his EVOLVE debut against Kai Kavari on May 1, 2026.
