TNA will crown its next X-Division Champion at TNA Bound For Glory in October, as confirmed on Thursday. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella announced in a new video posted by TNA to Twitter that the match to determine the new holder of the vacant championship will take place at the October PPV. The match will be a six-way match, with no competitors determined as of yet.
The title is currently vacant after Leon Slater invoked Option C at TNA Lockdown, cashing in the championship for a World Championship match against Nic Nemeth. Slater won the title back from Cedric Alexander at TNA Lockdown, and his match with Nemeth for the World Title will also take place at Bound For Glory.
TNA Bound For Glory takes place on October 11th at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, and airs live on PPV and TNA+. The announced card so far for the show is:
* TNA World Championship Match: Nic Nemeth vs. Leon Slater.
* TNA X-Division Championship Match: Competitors TBA.
