Sheamus, CJ Perry, Ron Killings, Others React to Passing of Pac

Last night brought the shocking news of the death of Benjamin Slattery, better known to wrestling fans as Pac. Whether it was during his time in the indies, Japan, AEW, WWE or anywhere else he worked, Pac was very popular among his fellow wrestlers. He was respected for the things he could do in the ring and was a very easy person to get along with behind the scenes.

Many of Pac’s greatest friends and in-ring rivals have taken to social media to share their thoughts and memories of The Man Gravity Forgot. Sheamus, who wrestled alongside Pac when he was known as Neville in WWE, had the following to say:

“I can’t believe it. Ben was an incredible performer and an even better fella. Salt of the earth, humble, a pleasure to be around and loved by everyone in the locker room. I first saw him wrestle in 2005 and couldn’t believe what I was watching. I’d never seen anything like him. He truly defied gravity. Rest in peace, Ben. There won’t be another like you. The Bastard PAC.”

Daga, Bryce Remsburg, Austin Aries, R-Truth and many others have chimed with their memories, some with some amazing photos from back in the day.

To many, he was a bastard.

To my kids, he was Ben – who brought them Kinder Eggs from the UK, who converted them to Newcastle fans.

To me, he was an incredible friend for 20 years. Watching a Black Arrow from inside the ring still takes my breath away.

I met PAC on my first tour in Dragon Gate. He was so kind and definitely helped me a lot during that time.

We shared workouts, corners, long days on the road, and most importantly, the passion for this sport.
