Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns had a face to face confrontation on WWE Raw as they prepare to compete at WWE Crown Jewel. Monday night’s show opened with Zayn coming down to the ring and taunting the fans before Reigns came on down.

Reigns said that he didn’t think he would say this but that it was good to see Zayn. The two hugged and Zayn said that he gets everything that Reigns used to tell him about the burden of being champion and being disrespected.

Reigns asked if Zayn was on Raw to serve the Bloodline or out of greed, and Zayn said that he was the head of his own table as Undisputed WWE Champion on Smackdown. The two then began to debate whose title was more important; Reigns said that he had “the title” and that the Undisputed WWE Championship hasn’t meant anything since WrestleMania 40, while Zayn said the World Heavyweight Champion was the B-title until Reigns had it. Zayn said he was disappointed with Reigns and said that Reigns should know how much of a threat he is, while Reigns countered that Zayn may not even have the title by Crown Jewel.

As Reigns left, Penta came out for his match with Bron Breakker and had a staredown with Reigns, then entered the ring and held his briefcase up in Zayn’s face. You can see clips from the WWE Raw segment below.
