Andrey Koreshkov Says He’s Not Bothered By Douglas Lima’s Claims That Wasn’t Ready In Their First Fight

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Bellator MMA welterweight champion Andrey Korsehkov said he isn’t bothered by Douglas Lima’s claims that he wasn’t ready for their first fight last year at Bellator 140. The two wll fight in a rematch at Bellator 164, which airs tomorrow (but happens live today) on Spike. Here are highlights:

On Lima’s claims that he wasn’t ready: “It doesn’t bother me at all because I think it’s his problem, not mine. Everybody knows almost all the fighters, they are somehow injured for their fights, during their camps, etc., but also they’re not talking about their injuries. The problem is when they start talking about them when they leave. They’re trying to make an excuse for losing, so it doesn’t really bother me that he’s saying that.”

On his strategy: “I think I will keep it a secret. Because you don’t want to speak about the gameplan before the fight. It should be a secret and surprise for everyone, especially my opponent.”
