Bellator’s Brent Primus Wants a Big Name For Next Fight
– Bellator’s Brent Primus recently spoke with mmajunkie.com, here are the highlights…
On Wanting a Bigger Name: “I’m not the type of guy to call out opponents, but I really want to fight somebody that has a name. I was supposed to fight Patricky, and it would be cool to fight him. He’s got a name and he’s a tough warrior. I think that would be an awesome fight. I just want to fight somebody who gets me closer to that belt.”
On Making Extra Money When His Opponent Missed Weight: “I got 20 percent of his purse, which is always good,” he said. “It was kind of weird because he usually fights at 145, and he didn’t even make 155. It was kind of a shocker for me. I was actually in the sauna with him (cutting weight), and he kept on coming out every five or 10 minutes, and I was in there for 40 minutes at a time suffering, and he’s splashing cold water on his face. That told me something about his mindset and his mental toughness. I definitely didn’t think he was going to miss weight.”
