Dana White threw cold water on the rumored Daniel Cormier vs. Brock Lesnar UFC Heavyweight Title fight today at the UFC press conference in Atlanta (h/t MMAWeekly). White said the fight “isn’t even in the works” and that Cormier may actually fight Stipe Miocic again before he fights Lesnar.

“Nothing happened, we haven’t even talked to Brock,” said White. “I don’t know if he’ll fight again, but we don’t have a date for him right now. First fight (for Cormier) might be Stipe.”

White added that the reason they haven’t announced the Cormier vs. Miocic fight is because Cormier is still dealing with injuries.

“We’ve gotta wait for Cormier. Cormier went back in the gym I think two weeks ago and did a light workout. He’s still not healthy. So as soon as he’s healthy to fight, we can make a decision on when we can do him and if it’s Stipe.”

Of course, Cormier called out Lesnar following his UFC 226 win against Miocic. Lesnar was seated cageside at the show and the two ended up exchanging words, followed by Lesnar pushing Cormier.

Lesnar has only fought once in the past seven years, a win over Mark Hunt in 2016 that was later overturned after Lesnar tested positive for banned substances.
