Claudia Gadelha Says She’s Better Than Carla Esparza In Every Way

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Claudia Gadelha said that she’s better than her UFC 225 opponent Carla Esparza in everything she does. Here are highlights:

On being better than Esparza: “I think I’m better than her in everything she does. But definitely, my striking is way better than hers. That’s all she does; she’s a wrestler. She’s going to try to take me down, and I can do MMA with her.”

On her move to Las Vegas: “I think it is (permanent) because we have everything we need here. My coaches come in from Albuquerque here every week. I have great coaches. I have a great boxing coach here. Good bodies to train with. A great facility to train, so why not?”

On her start: “I came from humble beginnings. I grew up in the northeast in Brazil, didn’t have a lot of opportunities growing up. And one of my dreams was to come to Las Vegas one day. Today I live here, and I have everything I need here.”
