Court McGee Says Fighting in Hometown For UFC is a Dream Come True

McGee spoke with MMAjunkie about his fight with Dominique Steele at UFC Fight Night 92. Some highlights are below:

On fighting in his hometown: “It’s kind of like a dream come true. You make it to the big show and my fans locally and friends, teammates and everyone around here has been able to follow me from Australia to Canada and all through the United States throughout my whole six or seven years in the UFC and now they get to be here live at an event. I think it’s going to be an incredible experience. It’s going to be one of those crowning moments in my career, being able to fight in my home.”

On his friends and family showing up: “I have no idea (how many friends and family will attend). A lot. I’ve got a lot of pictures on my phone, pictures sent in text message of like 40 or 50 tickets with, ‘Hey, we’re going to be there.’ It’s going to be incredible support.”
