March 7, 2018 | Posted by
Cynthia Calvillo will take a six-month suspension from USADA for testing above the legal limit for marijuana. USADA announced on Wednesday that Calvillo accepted the suspension for an in-competition drug test in connection with her loss to Carla Esparza at UFC 218, per MMAjunkie.
The suspension began on December 30th, and Calvillo can reduce it to three months if she completes a USADA-approved drug awareness and management program. She also has to deal with any potential sanctions from the NSAC.
