Dana White Says Tyron Woodley Should Start Considering Retirement
Tyron Woodley came up short against Colby Covington at UFC Vegas 11, and Dana White thinks he should start considering retirement. White spoke at the post-show press conference (per MMA Weekly) and said that he believes Woodley should consider calling it a day.
“I think (Woodley) should start thinking about hanging it up,” White said. “We all get older. It happens to the best of us, but Woodley’s had a good career. He’s been a champion. He’s been around here for a while. Had a good run in Strikeforce, too.”
Woodley lost the main event of Saturday’s show via TKO in the fifth round due to a rib injury. It was Woodley’s third loss in a row following unanimous decision losses to Gilbert Burns at UFC Vegas 1 in May and Kamaru Usman at UFC 235 in March of 2019, the latter of which saw him lose the UFC Welterweight Championship to Usman.
