Dana White Says Vince McMahon Set Up UFC’s Deal With Saudi Arabia

Dana White says that the UFC’s deal with Saudi Arabia was “100%” Vince McMahon. White recently spoke with Sports Business Journal about the UFC’s deal towh the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will start with a March 2nd, 2024 event. WWE and UFC are now joined together as TKO Group under Endeavor, White said that the WWE head helped arrange the deal.

“It was Vince McMahon,” White said. “It was 100% Vince McMahon. He made every call, he didn’t make one move without picking up the phone and calling me and getting me in the loop and seeing if I was cool with this and that. He went from being, oddly enough, I don’t know why, an enemy (of UFC’s), to being an unbelievable incredible partner.”

The report adds that Saudi General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh lead the Saudi’s negotiating team, was leading negotiations on the Saudi side. WWE of course has been a regular visitor of Saudi Arabia and hosted WWE Crown Jewel there this past Saturday.
