Estimated PPV Numbers Arrive For UFC 227

MMA Fighting reports that UFC 227 is estimated to have brought in 300,000 PPV buys for a main event that featured TJ Dillashaw vs. Cody Garbrandt for the bantamweight title. It also included Demetrious Johnson vs. Henry Cejudo for the flyweight title. The number is said to be above expectations. the PPV also had the biggest live crowd at the Staples center in Los Angeles, beating fights like Matt Hughes vs. Royce Gracie and Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano. The number is also in the same range as the April 7 show (Khabib Nurmagomedov v. Al Iaquinta), in third place for the year behind January and July shows featuring the heavyweight title.
