Jimy Hettes Considering Retirement Following Latest Injury

January 11, 2016 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Jimy Hettes says that he is considering retirement from MMA after his latest injury pulled him out of a fight at UFC Fight Night 81. Hettes, who suffered a kneee injury that caused his fight with Charles Rosa to be scratched, said on Facebook that he may call it quits.

“Unfortunately, I’m out of my fight in Boston that was scheduled for the 17th; I suffered a bad knee injury this past Saturday and I’m gonna be on the ‘sidelines’ for awhile,” Hettes wrote. “The injuries have been piling up lately and might be time to hang up the gloves and explore other options.”

He added, “Have to get some more tests done before I make my final decision but big thanks to my family, friends and fans for being supportive as always.”

Hettes’ last fight was a loss to Diego Brandao at UFC on FOX 15.
