Josh Koscheck Says He Never Expected a Rematch with Paul Daley

April 20, 2016 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– Josh Koscheck recently spoke with mmajunkie.com, here are the highlights…

On Fighting Paul Daley Again: “This is a big fight not only for myself but for Paul Daley, Bellator and Spike TV,” Koscheck said. “I started my career on Spike and I’m going to get to come back home and end my career on Spike at some point. It’s going to be a fun event. The bells and whistles are going to be going, the big screen, you know, the cool walkouts Bellator does in their big shows. It’s going to be a fun event, not only for us but for the fans.”

On Not Thinking The Rematch Was Going to Happen: “Obviously, we don’t like each other,” Koscheck said. “The funny thing is, he brought this upon himself. I whipped his ass easily, convincingly. I beat him easily when we fought in 2010. I beat him easy, real easy. He was frustrated because we were exchanging words the whole time throughout the fight and he must not have liked what I said to him multiple times. It’s eating him up because he got kicked out of the UFC for his stupidness and here I am now back in Bellator and the reason I signed with Bellator is to fight Paul Daley. I never thought (we would rematch), actually. I figured my career went a different path and his went the way it did. It’s funny how things come 360 and we’re here in London and get to do it in his home country.”
