In an interview with FOX Sports boxer Manny Pacquiao said that if Floyd Mayweather doesn’t come out of retirement for a fight with Conor Mcgregor, then he’ll step up to do it.

He spoke about the hype surround a possible McGregor/Mayweather fight but wasn’t sure if it would actually happen. He said: “I don’t know if they are taking it seriously. It’s on the news but I don’t know if it will happen.

When asked if he would fight McGregor himself, he replied: “In boxing? In boxing (I would) but not in (UFC), just boxing. I’m sure he will be moving around. I didn’t see it [footage of Conor sparring]. But if we are talking about Conor McGregor and boxing, it’s different. Boxing is different than MMA.

Pacquiao’s next fight will be against Jeff Horn. He added that he plans to fight “three or four times” in the next two years. He’d also like a rematch with Mayweather after their 2015 bout.

Finally, he was asked if McGregor had a chance against Mayweather in a fight. He said: “I don’t think so.
