Nicco Montano Discusses Her Title Win at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale

Inaugural UFC women’s flyweight champion Nicco Montano spoke to reporters in a post-fight media scrum (via MMAjunkie) after her title win over Roxanne Modafferi at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale event. Below are some highlights.

Montano on having a broken foot for the fight: “It’s still broken now, technically. … I probably had, like, 10 percent of 100 mobility in my left foot, I thought I wasn’t going to be able to fight. It was such an emotional roller coaster. But I told myself, I made it through the ‘TUF’ competition – don’t give up now.”

Montano on what’s next for her: “I’m going to go move to an apartment with some water pressure, and buy some good food and treats for my cats.”
