Rafael Dos Anjos Accepts Challenge From Santiago Ponzinibbio, Declares Conditions

Rafael Dos Anjos has accepted a challenge from Santiago Ponzinibbio, but has his own conditions. Ponzinibbio posted to Instagram last month challenging Dos Anjos for a fight at the UFC’s November 17th show in South America, saying, “It will be an honor to share the octagon with you…We are going to make history.”

Dos Anjos replied to the call-out on Twitter Friday, as you can see below. The translation, per MMAjunkie, reads:

“Boludo (a diss term used in Brazil for Argentinians)… Do you really think I’m running from you? You gave me one option, but I’ll give you two:

1. Let me know when you’re able to show up at RVCA so we can discuss this face-to-face. Bring your mouthpiece.

2. Let’s fight in Vegas or Los Angeles. I’m waiting.”

Ponzinibbio has replied since, saying, “If I hit you in your gym, no one’s going to see it. So that’s why we will do this with the UFC. You wanted a fight in November, here you go, already closed.”
