Results of Ken Shamrock & Kimbo Slice’s Failed Drug Tests Revealed
The details behind the failed drug test results of Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice have been revealed from Bellator 149. MMAjunkie reports that the two fighters both tested positive for the same steroid after the fight. SHamrock also tested positive for the synthetic opioid methadone, commonly used to treat heroin addicts.
The results, which were released by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, revealed that both men had elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone (T/E) ratios. Shamrocks was at 12.4-1 and Slice’s was at 6.4-1. The Texas commission allows a 4-1 ratio.
Both men face a suspension of up to a year and a $5,000 fine, although the TDLR is offering both men a settlement until March 31st for “coming into compliance.” If the fighters explain their sides of the story, they will be able to settle for a $3,000 fine and a license revocation.
