Ricardo Lamas in Hospital For Split Shin From UFC 199

Ricardo Lamas is in the hospital after his PPV fight with Max Holloway at UFC 199. Lamas spoke with MMAjunkie and revealed that he remains hospitalized after the fight, in which he split his shin open and lost via decision.

“I spent the night at my house on Sunday, and then Monday midday I was in the hospital,” Lamas said. “They talked about maybe releasing me tomorrow. Not the way I wanted to be spending my time after the fight, but I have to get this taken care of.”

He also talked about the loss, saying, “I re-watched the fight, and I think it’s a fight I could have won – I was just off. This camp was a lot shorter than most of the camps I usually get, so I think a little more time would have made a big difference.”
