According to Bellator MMA fighter Rory MacDonald in a post on his Twitter account, a fight with Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima is likely not going to get lined up this year. You can read MacDonald’s Twitter response to a fan question on the situation below.

MacDonald made his Bellator MMA debut last May at Bellator 179, submitting Paul Daley in the second round. He was expected to face champion Douglas Lima next, but it appears it’s not likely to happen until next year at the earliest.

MacDonald also later commented on his Instagram account that he’s currently sitting at home and “waiting impatiently” to get a fight lined up. You can also check out his Instagram post below.
