Tim Boetsch Knew He Was Fighting For His Job at UFC Fight Night 91

Tim Boetsch spoke with MMAjunkie about his win over Josh Samman at UFC Fight Night 91. Some highlights are below:

On going in as the underdog: “I’ve been set up a few times, and I’ve disappointed a few people along the way because of that. But I don’t let that weigh on my mind too much…I know I can get in there against anybody.”

On getting the win: “It’s such a relief. The past couple fights, afterward I feel like anything can happen in there. Josh is such a tough kid, and usually comes out and starts fast and is real dangerous. So I knew I needed to finish. I wanted a big finish. At the same time, I knew if it came down to it, I might have to play the position and point game. I just knew that I had to leave the building with a win if I wanted a job (Thursday) morning.”
