Tony Sims Doesn’t Like His Nickname

January 1, 2016 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Tony Sims spoke with MMAjunkie about his fight with Abel Trujillo at UFC 195. Check out the highlights:

On his nickname: “I don’t really have the nickname. A lot of people posted it. I broke my hand in a fight, and one of my coaches said, ‘You’re going to come back as a better version of yourself, ‘Tony 2.0.’ So I used it, but I don’t like the nickname. I’m not a gimmick type of guy. So it’s just Tony Sims now.”

On his fight with Trujillo: “We’re on the main card, pay-per-view. People are going to be watching. They’re going to tune in to watch Robbie and Carlos and some of these other guys and some of these great fighters, but I have the opportunity to kick it off with a great performance. I love the matchup. I think it’s going to be an exciting fight.”
