UFC on ESPN+ 8 Has Surge in Live Gate and Attendance for Sunrise, Florida

April 28, 2019 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

Speaking to reporters at last night’s post-fight press conference for UFC on ESPN+ 8, UFC President Dana White announced the live gate and attendance for UFC on ESPN+ 8. The fight card drew 12,754 attendees. The show had a live gate of $1,209,654.09.

In the main event, Jack Hermansson defeated Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza by unanimous decision. UFC on ESPN+ 8 was held at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. The main card was streamed live on ESPN+. The prelims were shown on ESPN and ESPN 2.

By comparison, UFC on FX 3, headlined by Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall in 2012, drew a reported attendance of 6,635 and a live gate of $329,110. So, this was a nice surge in both attendance and ticket sales nearly seven years later.
