Amanda Waller-Focused Peacemaker Spinoff In The Works At HBO Max

Viola Davis is returning to her role as Amanda Waller in a new Peacemaker spinoff for HBO Max. Deadline reports that HBO Max is developing a spinoff series, with Davis set to produce and star as the character she played in the Suicide Squad films and Peacemaker.

Christal Henry (Watchmen) will write and executive produce the potential series, with James Gunn and Peter Safran also executive producing.

Peacemaker is also set to return for a second season, having been renewed in February.
