Amazon MGM In Final Talks With Producers To Oversee James Bond Franchise

Amazon MGM has settled on the producers to oversee the James Bond franchise for them. THR reports that Amy Pascal and David Heyman are in final talks to take over the franchise, which Amazon took full control of last month.

Pascal was previously the head of Columbia and Sony Pictures and has been a producer since she exited the company in 2015. Among her production credits are the Spider-Man and Into the Spider-Verse films, Challengers for Amazon MGM, Little Women, and Steven Spielberg’s The Post. Heyman is a prolific producer, having produced all eight Harry Potter films along with films like Gravity, Barbie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and the first two Paddington movies.

The report notes that it’s not yet clear what the structure of the new oversight would be, but sources say Pascal could be the lead producer-executive.
