Amber Heard Donates Divorce Settlement Money

The Huffington Post reports that Amber Heard has done as she said she would and donated the money from her divorce with Johnny Depp to charity. Her name was included on the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ list of donors from 2017. She was in a category for donations between $1 million and almost $5 million for the fiscal year ending in June 2017.

She promised to donate her $7 million divorce settlement from Depp to charities like the American Civil Liberties Union (to prevent violence against women) and CHLA, where she is a volunteer.

She said: “As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves.“
