Apple TV Renews Severance Following Season Two Finale

Severance will be back for another season, with Apple TV+ renewing the satirical thriller after the season two finale. Apple announced on Friday (per THR) that the critically-acclaimed show has been renewed, hours after the second season closer aired.
The move is not hugely surprising; Severance is Apple TV+’s most watched drama ever and has been a critical and awards darling. It earned 14 nominations for season one including Outstanding Drama Series as well as acting nods for Adam Scott, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Rosanna Arquette.
“The idea of getting to make more Severance with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world’s finger traps combined,” said series creator/writer Dan Erickson. “I can’t wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread and malice with these truly incredible people.”
Ben Stiller, who executive produces and directs the show, added, “Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of. While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”
The series stars Scott, Arquette, Turturro, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Walken, and Sarah Bock. The series is described as follows:
Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives; when a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.
