Warning: Spoilers follow for Avengers: Endgame.

Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed that Captain America had an offscreen reunion during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Speaking with CinemaBlend (per SHH), the directors of the film confirmed that while returning the Infinity Stones to their rightful places, Cap met up with the Red Skull who was the guardian of the Soul Stone.

“He would have to encounter Red Skull,” Joe Russo said, though he noted that “nobody knows what the rules are when you return the Soul Stone.”

Anthony Russo said he wasn’t sure what would happen either, but suggested that returning the Stone wouldn’t bring Black Widow back to life. He said, “Knowing Red Skull, he probably has a ‘no money back’ policy.”

Red Skull, of course, was Cap’s archvillain in Captain America: The First Avenger. He was sucked away at the end of that film as he tried to lay claim to the Tesseract, eventually showing up in Avengers: Infinity War in charge of the Soul Stone on Vormir. Ross Marquand played the role in Infinity War and Endgame after Hugo Weaving played him in First Avenger.
