The Big Bang Theory in Early Discussions for Season 13 Renewal
TV Line reports that CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl stated at the TCA Summer Press Tour on Sunday (Aug. 5) that there are preliminary discussions to renew The Big Bang Theory for a potential 13th season.
Kahl stated, “We don’t believe it’s the final year. We are in preliminary discussions to renew the show [for a 13th season].”
Previously, executive producer Steve Holland stated in the spring on Season 12, “Until I hear differently, yes [it’s the final season].” He added, “I know we have next season, but I don’t know what happens beyond that. And it’s not my decision to make. So all I can do is go forward with next season and make it great.”
The Big Bang Theory is slated to start its 12th season on Monday, September 24. It will then move to a Thursday time slot on September, 27.
