Well, now we know why Bond 25 has been delayed. Scott Z. Burns was brought in to do a major rewrite for the film, according to a report from The Playlist. Burns, who previously did a page-one rewrite on Bourne Ultimatum and wrote The Informant! and Contagion, was reportedly well-played for the four weeks of work he did and could get a screenwriter credit.

The news comes the day after MGM pushed the release date back from Valentine’s Day 2020 to April 8th of the same year. Production kicks off in April on the movie, which will see the returns of Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw. Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing, with plot detrails under wraps.
