Cast & Plot Synopsis Revealed For Godzilla vs. Kong Sequel

The sequel for Godzilla vs. Kong is set to release in a couple years, and Warner Bros. and Legendary have announced the cast and a plot synopsis. The studios announced on Thursday (per JoBlo) that the sequel, which releases on March 15th, 2024, will see the titular monsters team up against the next threat.

The sequel is written by Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater, and Simon Barrett and will star Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House alongside returning players Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle. The synopsis reads:

This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.

Godzilla vs. Kong was a hit from the pandemic era, grossing $470 million worldwide and becoming the then-most successful launch item in HBO Max’s history when it arrived day-and-date with the theatrical release in March of 2021.
