Christopher McDonald Joins Marvel’s Secret Invasion Disney+ Series

Shooter McGavin is taking a trip into the MCU, as Christopher McDonald has signed onto Disney+’s Secret Invasion series. Deadline reports that the actor, known for his role as the villain in Happy Gilmore, has joined Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke in the upcoming series.

Details on McDonald’s role is not yet known. The only confirmed characters are Jackson’s Nick Fury and Mendelsohn’s Talos from Captain Marvel. Ben-Adir is known to be playing the villain, though his character’s specific identity has yet to be revealed. The site reports that McDonald’s character will be a newly-created one that could cross over into bigger movies and Disney+ MCU shows.
