Christopher McQuarrie Teases Hayley Atwell For Mission: Impossible Franchise

It looks as if Agent Carter herself, Hayley Atwell, is ramping up to join the IMF if Christopher McQuarrie is right. McQuarrie, who directed the last two Mission: Impossible films and will write and direct the next two, posted to Instagram with a picture of the MCU alumna teasing her entry into the franchise as you can see below.
Atwell then responded to the post one one of her own, suggesting that she will be joining the franchise for the next film. She is of course best known for playing Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger, her spinoff TV series Agent Carter and several other MCU films, but also played the lead role in ABC’s Conviction. She is reprising her role as Peggy (or her voice) for an episode of the upcoming Disney+ animated series What If…?
Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 are set for release on July 23rd, 2021 and August 5th, 2022.
