Cobie Smulders Returning to MCU For Secret Invasion Series

Maria Hill is returning to the MCU, as Cobie Smulders will reprise the role in Disney+’s Secret Invasion series. Variety reports that Smulders has joined Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn and others in the show, which is set to begin production soon in Europe.

Smulders has played Hill, Nick Fury’s right hand agent, in several films including The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home. She also appeared in Marvel’s Agent of SHIELD, though that series eventually diverged from primary MCU canon.

Also set for the series are Kingsley Ben-Adir as the main villain, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, and Christopher McDonald.
