Comcast No Longer Seeking To Buy 20th Century Fox

Coming Soon reports that Comcast Corporation has announced in a statement that they are no longer attempting to purchase the assets of 21st Century Fox. This comes after they placed a $65 million bid to compete with Disney, who later won the war with a bid of $71.4 billion.

In a statement, Comcast said: “Comcast does not intend to pursue further the acquisition of the Twenty-First Century Fox assets and, instead, will focus on our recommended offer for Sky.”

Comcast Chairman and CEO Brian L. Roberts added: “I’d like to congratulate Bob Iger and the team at Disney and commend the Murdoch family and Fox for creating such a desirable and respected company.“
