Danai Gurira Says Okoye Will Be Back For Black Panther 2 But Plays Coy About Killmonger

In an interview with MTV News, Danai Gurira confirmed that her characater Okoye will be back for Black Panther 2 (which Kevin Feige said was in the works at Comic-Con last week), but wouldn’t give a straight answer about Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger. The character was seemingly killed off in the first film but there have been rumors he will show up in the sequel. Here are highlights:

On Erik Killmonger returning for Black Panther 2: “We all love Michael, we can never get enough Michael B. I mean, you can never get enough Michael B, we all know this.”

On what she does know about the movie: “Listen, listen… literally, I have no information, that’s the beauty of our conversation right now. Mr. Coogler says, ‘Tell them we’re working hard, and you’re in it.’ That’s all I got for you.”
