Final Scream Trailer Features New Teases & Twists

Scream hits theaters this coming weekend, and the final trailer teases some new twists and turns to come. Paramount Pictures released the trailer on Monday for the fifth entry in the slasher franchise, and you can check it out below.

The new trailer shows off some of the more enthusiastic social media reactions from following the film’s critic screening (reviews are not yet online) and features Dewey and Sidney pretty prevalently. We get a new callback to the first film in a clip mirroring the moments before Tatum’s attack, and one potentially concerning clip for Dewey fans of Gale (Courteney Cox) looking like she’s being held back from rushing forward as an ambulance is in the background (a sure sign of a dead body in this franchise).

The film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett from a script by James Vanderbilt and is set to release on January 14th, 2022. Starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar, the movie’s official synopsis reads:

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.
