First Art of Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home Hits the Internet

The first look at Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home has been released online. You can see the image below from inside the pages of Empire Magazine, which a fan took a shot of and posted to the internet.

Other than a minor color scheme change (red to purple) and the addition of a gold chestplate, the costume is very similar to the comic book rendition of the character (as you can see in the header image in comparison to the image below). Whether he’ll wear his “fishbowl” helmet or not is not yet confirmed, though reports have suggested that he will.

Gyllenhaal stars alongside Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Samuel L Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Zendaya (Mary Jane), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned), and Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson) in the film, which Jon Watts will be back to direct. The movie releases on July 5th, 2019.
