First Stills Released From Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu Remake
The classic vampire film Nosferatu is getting a remake from The Witch’s Robert Eggers, and the first stills for the film are online. Empire Magazine has released the images from the film in its 2024 movie preview, and they’ve made their way onto social media. You can check out the pics, featuring stars Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult and a bit of Bill Skarsgård as Count Orlok, below.
The film was written and directed by Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Witch, The Northman) and remakes the F.W. Murnau -directed 1922 horror classic starring Max Schreck — itself an unauthorized adaption of Bram Stoker’s Dracula and following similar story beats. Eggers’ film is described by distributor Focus Features as “a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.”
Nosferatu is set to release next year, with an exact release date not yet revealed.
