First Trailer Arrives for House of the Dragon Season 2
HBO has released the first teaser for season two of House of the Dragon, which arrives in the summer of 2024. It will air on HBO and be available to stream on Max. The second season will run for eight episodes.
Like the first season, the Game of Thrones prequel is based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. Set 200 years before Thrones, it tells the story of House Targaryen.
Returning cast members this season include Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham. They are joined by new cast members Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. Previously announced new season two cast includes Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.
The series is executive produced by Martin, Ryan Condal, Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere and Vince Gerardis. Martin and Condal are the co-creators with Condal serving as showrunner.
