In a casting decision that can only be described as pitch-perfect (I’m not even sorry), Hailee Steinfeld has reportedly been offered the role of Hawkeye (no, the other one) in Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series. Variety reports that Steinfeld (True Grit, Bumblebee) has been offered the role of Kate Bischop, the younger hero who takes on Clint Barton’s superhero code name in the comics as a member of the Young Avenger.

If she accepts, Steinfeld would join Jeremy Renner in the series, with the possibility of course that she could appear in other MCU shows or films as well. Jonathan Igla (Mad Men) is set to write and executive produce the series, which is currently targeting a late 2021 premiere date.

Steinfeld is also currently set to star in the lead of the upcoming Apple TV series Dickinson, playing 19th century poet Emily Dickinson.
