HBO Max’s Green Lantern Series Reportedly Filming in April
HBO Max is ready to get their live-action Green Lantern series off the ground next month, if a new report is accurate. The Film and TV Industy Alliance’s Production List has a listing for the series, which lists a Los Angeles production start on April 12th.
Warner Bros. has yet to confirm the report, and as of yet we don’t have any word of casting for the series, which will be showrun by Seth Grahame-Smith. Grahame-Smith is writing the series along with Marc Guggenheim. HBO Max gave the show a ten-episode season one order.
Details on the series have been kept vague, though the Production List entry lists the following synopsis:
The Green Lantern Corps is an outer-space law-enforcement agency aided by each members’ individual power ring that grants the wearer abilities based on the strength of their own willpower. Follows the adventures of a multitude of Lanterns, including Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz and Alan Scott — Earth’s first Green Lantern, who, true to the comics, is a gay man — and many more.
